For this project, they required double-pipe and shell-and-tube heat exchangers across 14 locations, with each site needing 3-4 heat exchangers. Efficient procurement was crucial to maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring project success.

Role of Heat Exchangers in Biogas Production

  • Temperature Control: Heat exchangers maintain optimal temperatures within anaerobic digesters, which is crucial for the microorganisms' activity and efficient biogas production.
