The Challenge

The existing drainage system lacked the capacity to handle seasonal downpours, causing repeated production halts, particularly during a critical monsoon stretch that left half the plant flooded for over 45 days.

The scope involved the complete demolition of old brick masonry drains and the reconstruction with new RCC sections. However, executing such a high-stakes ₹37 crore project posed several challenges:
